More often than not, when faced with uncertainty, that old evil “doubt” raises its ugly head. Doubts about our validity, our abilities, our purpose and the personal environment. And in the ensuing mind dialogue, we achieve nothing. We just further strengthen the doubt. The unconscious part of our being is now fully in charge, and makes quite sure that doubt turns into fear.
On Friday we spoke about expectations. These are sometimes created by others, as the result of an undertaking, but mostly, we create it ourselves. The mind has the ability to create, through its own will and power, scenarios which does not exist, or merely exist in the imagination, concocted through insecurities, need and fear.
Let us take a simple example, which can apply to a great many things.
Am I good enough?
What is it that we implicitly imply here? Is it doubt? Yes. Is it fear? Yes. Is it insecurity? Yes. If we question more, we shall see that we can associate doubt with most, if not all, of the negative emotions displayed by us. Simply put, the human species is infatuated with worry and drama. We like it. We cannot live without it. We continually worry and doubt.
In this mind action, we create fear. It permeates our thoughts, actions and attitudes to such an extent, that it saturates our vibrational being ness. We literally beam it out. If we are insecure about a situation, or doubtful about an outcome, then we start emanating that vibration of emotional insecurity.
Our loved ones may then ask “what is wrong?” We will reply, nothing, of course. Nothing is wrong. Yet again we are lying through our teeth. Much is wrong, but we are simply too scared to tell them, as we are scared as to what their possible reaction may be. Yet again, fear and insecurity.
Do we ever ask ourselves, “What is it that I am scared off?” No we don’t, we are too scared to face the answer, so we cut it off and we carry on dreaming up scary monsters, wicked wrong-doers, doom and gloom.
In this lies the nature of our own human-ness. We create our reality on the subtle mental and astral planes, which are intangible. They are the domain of the mind. It is created by thought and thus forms its own little gestalt, which permeates our being-ness and influences our social behavior patterns.
Again, being unconscious at this stage, we pay no heed to the other players in our little mind game; it is only us that count here. We are being selfish to the extent that we start alienating those that care for us, and share our daily lives. Worse, we are all guilty of it, at times.
Have we ever given thought to the fact that we are being predictive in our mind games? That we are creating outcomes by simply giving our fears, doubt and mind-games energy? And if so, that these predictions may have different outcomes, if we simply apply that energy in a different, more appropriate way? No we don’t. We are simply to unconscious of that fact. The mind is now infatuated with its own drama and will not allow consciousness to take hold. We are being controlled.
Being conscious of these little games that we play, in order to satisfy the needs of the encultured ego, for that is what it is, can help us achieve the lives that we wish to live. We simply need to be conscious. Turn the fear into truth. Turn the doubt into trust. Turn the insecurities into power, by speaking them, and transmuting them.
When we face fear, doubt and insecurity on their terms, we are doomed. When we align them with our consciousness, as players in the game that can aid us in our efforts to be masters of our own creations, we win. We need to control them, for we are the major players here.
Fear is simply false evidence appearing real. We cannot read the minds of others, predict their reactions, control their behavior patterns or judge their emotions, and resulting outcomes. So what do we do? We fall into the trap of doubt and fear, which creates insecurity and untold emotional mayhem.
It is time for us to take charge of our own creations.
Let us be truthful, let us speak our minds, let us negotiate life’s little up’s and downs with integrity and trust. Let us calm down the constant destructive chatter of our fearful psyche, as it is simply creating untruth’s that will disenfranchise us.
We will be quite surprised at what we unearth, in the rich mines of our interactive consciousness.
